Enrichment.Kids does not collect the birthdate or age of participants before they complete your registration form. However, if you need to ensure that only children of a certain age can sign up for your camp or activity, you can set up an age validation rule within your form. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.
Open your form editor.
Add a new question.
Choose a Single Line Input field.
Set the input type to Date.
Label the field as Birthday.
Mark the field as Required.
Open the Validation tab in the form sidebar.
Click Add a New Rule.
Click the button to Create a Validation Expression.
Let's use a real world example:
If your camp starts on June 9, 2025, and you only accept children 10 years old and up, the participant must have been born on or before June 9, 2015.
Select the birthday question (e.g., "question1").
Choose Less Than or Equal To as the comparison operator.
Enter the cutoff birthdate: 06-09-2015, in our example.
Apply the validation expression.
Write a clear message to inform parents if their child does not meet the age requirement.
Example error message:
"Participants need to be 10 years old by June 9, 2025. Please enter a valid birthdate."
Switch to the Preview tab.
Enter a birthdate that does not meet the requirement (e.g., a child born recently).
Click Complete and confirm that the error message appears.
Enter a valid birthdate (e.g., May 31, 2015) and confirm that the form allows submission.
By following these steps, you can ensure that only children within your specified age range can register for your program. If you need further customization or assistance, feel free to reach out to Enrichment.Kids support.
